Ahmed Zoheir (PhD) is an experienced scientist with a passionate entrepreneurial mindset. He is appointed as Researcher (Assistant Professor) of microbiology and bioengineering at the National Research Centre (NRC), Egypt. His main expertise lie in Microbiology, Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering with transdisciplinary skills in Micro- & Biofabrication, Microfluidics and Computer-Aided Design (CAD). He is fond of sustainability and green bio-based solutions especially that of microbial origin.

Ahmed strongly believes in the translation of science into technologies and useful products. He teamed up with colleagues on co-founding the startup Catavis as a deep-tech spin-off from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), based in Germany. Besides science, Ahmed is a self-taught artist with special interest in digital painting. As a result of his love to art and entrepreneurial mindset, he founded the digital art startup, CLOUDS FineArt that aimed at personalizing digital art services for interior decoration.
